Authorities say Eric Linsker, 29, faces multiple charges including assault on a police officer, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest.

The NYPD says two lieutenants were injured by protesters Saturday as the officers tried to arrest a man who had attempted to throw a garbage can from the Brooklyn Bridge onto other officers below.

The officers were treated for bumps and bruises, including a broken nose.

Tens of thousands marched in New York City in protest over the deaths of unarmed black men by police.

A phone number for Linsker could not be found. Emails and social media messages were not immediately answered.
