It was reported today the September 11 Memorial in New York City has had one million visitors since opening to the public in September of this year.

It features a memorial plaza and two massive pools with the names of every victim etched in stone. The pools sit in the exact spot the Twin Towers once stood.

A few months ago, State House Coorespondent Kevin McArdle and I received the honor of touring the memorial site before it was complete.

I am the least bit interested in sightseeing, and I am the last man on Earth to use the word "breathtaking," but our experience truly was.

The tour also included the rebuild of One World Trade Center.  Video of our tour is below.

If you'd like to visit the pools, visitors are required to get passes (no charge) in advance.
