The Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions will bring the spirit of the Olympics to Newark when members of the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic teams celebrate their sport at Prudential Center. MERCER COUNTY


"The Occupation of Trenton: December 1-31,1776" is the theme of the Washington Crossing Park Association's second 2016 educational program. Larry Kidder, historian and author, will discuss his research and upcoming book. Richard Patterson of The Old Barracks in Trenton will serve as moderator. Kidder will cover three "occupation" periods: The American occupation from December 1-8, British and Hessian Occupation from December 8-25, and American occupation from December 26 to January 2, 1777. His detailed review will anticipate "The Ten Crucial Days" of the American Revolution's 240th anniversary celebrated annually on December 25. The program is scheduled from 2 - 5:30 pm. WCPA members are invited as guests and a donation of $10 is suggested for non-members. An exhibitor area will be available for attendees and refreshments will be served.

The WWAC Artisan Market is a celebration of fine arts and crafts. This year marks the sixth anniversary of our Artisan Market which has grown into a respected venue for showcasing the work of very talented Artisans and attracts visitors from the greater Princeton area. The SMASH Series explores the intersections of science, fine art and history throughout the Museum. Visitors will discover topics in-depth through hands-on activities, experiments, demonstrations and shows, discussions with museum experts, family-friendly activities, and more! You probably don't think about the science, math and engineering that goes into creating them!  Visit the Discovery Den to play Lenape games of chance and skill - simple and active games for everyone! Take on engineering challenges in the STEAM Center: Join Curator Nicholas Ciotola in the "Toy World" exhibition to hear stories about innovation in New Jersey toy making. Visit the Imagination Studio and create a mobile wire sculpture (this program is part of Artworks Trenton's Art All Day.)

Hosted by the Women of Smoke Rise Club and held in Kinnelon High School, this holiday arts & crafts fair has become another successful JC Event. It will feature over 100 artisans displaying and selling their original handmade works such as gift items, accessories, sculptures, personalized items, photography, pottery, jewelry, decorative fiber works, metal works, paper, stone, and so much more. There will be a children's "hands on" craft area (free), exhibitors demonstrating their works as well as light music and good food being sold. Held mainly indoors with some outdoors, this event is open to the public from 10 am - 5 pm. Admission fee is $2 per person. Seniors - $1 and children under the age of 12 years old are free.
