North Jersey gym owner charged with molesting girl

FAIRVIEW — The owner of a West New York gym has been charged with molesting an underage girl.

Jason Cruize, 45, was arrested Wednesday and charged with third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said borough police received a report of a juvenile female being touched inappropriately by Cruize.

Prosecutors did not say exactly how old the girl was or how she knew Cruize.

The borough residents operates the Box & Fitness Factory in Hudson County, according to the gym's website. He also was a volunteer in a Jersey City youth boxing program.

He was being held Wednesday in Bergen County Jail with bail set at $50,000 with no 10 percent option.
