Looks like there are enough senators to block the emergency vote today but not enough to kill the Christie gas tax.

Proponents are saying it's a tax cut, but the real numbers don't show that at all.  The gas tax hike will cost the average NJ commuter $170 every year. In order to have what Gov. Chris Christie calls "tax fairness" with the tiny cut in the sales tax in the bill, you'd have to spend more than $45,000 a year on taxable items, plus the estate tax changes only impact 4 percent of the estates in Jersey.

This is a giveaway that will blow a nearly $1 billion dollar hole in our state budget and put a new burden on working and middle class families.

We'll be joined by several senators checking in throughout the morning, including Republican Assembly Leader Bramnick ... so this should be an interesting morning to say the least!
