LINDEN — Police say a wrong turn, or rather the lack of a turn, contributed to a car driving into a city home.

The incident happened early Sunday morning when a driver heading north on Woodlawn Avenue did not make a turn at dead end, continuing into the driveway of a house. Police said the car then hit a car in the driveway and kept going into the two-family residence.

After the accident emergency crews safely removed three people from the house. The Linden Fire Department said the structure was unsafe after the crash. Both the driver and passenger were treated at the scene for minor injuries according to police, and the accident is under investigation.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the Linden Police Traffic Bureau at 908-474-8505.
