Harrison Township Police Lt. David Wingate says none of the students had severe injuries.

Wingate says the bus pulled into a parking lot next to Pleasant Valley School then struck the light standard just before 8 a.m. Thursday.

Thirty-four students were on board.

Nine were taken to hospitals and the rest walked next door to their school to be checked out by a nurse at their school, which serves fourth through sixth graders.

The crash is under investigation.
