Executive Director Jim Weinstein says the transit agency plans to keep fares from rising for the fourth straight year.

NJ Transit's proposed budget for the 12 months starting July 1 is being reviewed by the Senate Budget Committee.

Weinstein says two-thirds of the 70 locomotives damaged during Superstorm Sandy have been returned to service, but fewer than half of the 272 flooded rail cars have been repaired.
