Neither an ex-Wall Township police officer nor the man he ran over in an apparent spat over the cop's extramarital affair will be charged, NJ.com reports.

NJ.com cites law enforcement sources who say resident Clifford Vreeland, 51, of Wall was outside the morning of Aug. 28 arguing with ex-officer Jason Costantini, 37, of Neptune over Costantini's affair with Vreeland's daughter.

Vreeland punched through the driver's-side door of Costantini's SUV and started pummeling him, and during that beating, Costantini's foot came off the break — leading the SUV to run over Vreeland, the site reports.

But it said a spokesman for the prosecutor's office says neither will be charged.
