NJ’s first snow of the season
Head to northwest New Jersey if you are looking for snow.
More than 4 inches fell in Highland Lakes, a trained spotter measured 2½ inches in Lake Hopatcong, both of which are above 1000 feet notes NJ101.5 meteorologist Dan Zarrow. There were traces of snow in Atlantic, Burlington, Hunterdon, Mercer and western Monmouth County Friday.
Temperatures around New Jersey are in the 30s and motorists are urged to use caution for slippery conditions.
Zarrow says "The rain and snow is done, but very cold air will settle over New Jersey this weekend." He adds, "Our next storm system arrives on Monday, but right now it looks to be mostly rain."
