Fifty-two year old Dawn Finn from Westwood, N.J. was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead following the Tuesday afternoon accident.

Nevada Department of Wildlife spokesman Edward Lyngar says the woman suffered massive trauma. Her 21-year-old daughter was not injured.

The accident happened about 200 yards off shore at Incline Beach.

Lyngar says the two were riding rented watercraft when they got too close together and collided. One went over the other.

Lyngar says that type of accident is all too common and people need to be aware that personal watercraft are heavy, powerful machines.
