It's been a while but Ed Forchion, otherwise known as "NJ Weedman" made an appearance on the Jim Gearhart show (11/14).

Ed is currently serving 270 days in prison for possession of marijuana but on a staggered sentence to allow him the treatment he needs for bone cancer.  He has currently served somewhere around 100 days and as it appears, Weedman will have to serve at least 200 days of that sentence. Forchion does admit that it is a unique situation having a staggered sentence, although he still feels that he shouldn't have been prosecuted in the first place.

You can hear him discuss his sentence with Jim in the audio player below.

In part 2 of the interview, Jim discusses Weedman's request to Governor Christie for executive clemency. Forchion is not asking for a pardon or vacate his sentence, rather he is asking the governor to grant him a stay until the Appellate Court rules on his case and whether his medical marijuana card was valid and he should not have been prosecuted in the first place.

Jim also asks Forchion about his current employment, something they have never really discussed on the show in prior interviews and how he affords flying back and forth to California for treatment.

You can listen to the 2nd part of the interview in the audio player below.

Take the poll below and let us know if you think Governor Christie should grant NJ Weedman executive clemency.
