NJ Transit Train Gets Stuck in Tunnel
A NJ Transit train heading for Trenton got stuck in the Hudson River tunnel on Friday night trapping 800 passengers for a short time.
ABC 7 reports a power problem disabled train #3887 shortly after it pulled out of Penn Station New York at about 9:30 p.m.
No one was injured and the train was not evacuated according to the report.
A diesel-powered train was sent into the tunnel to pull the Northeast Corridor train back to the station according to NBC 4 New York. Passengers were put on the next train to continue their trip.
Power problems caused delays earlier during the Friday afternoon commute with delays of up to 60 minutes according to New Jersey Fast Traffic.
