The agency on Friday released two new public service announcements aimed at reducing the number of fatalities and accidents at rail crossings.

They feature testimonials from people affected by train accidents.

The ads were in response to the deaths of three teenagers in October who were killed on railroad tracks.

The agency is also increasing enforcement on the rails, including requiring locomotive engineers, train crew members and field personnel to report patterns of trespasser activity.

NJ Transit will also be installing new barriers and technical warning systems, as well as other safety upgrades at problematic crossings.
