A NJ Transit bus rear-ended a street sweeper early Monday in Galloway, sending the bus into the woods.

Galloway Police said the bus hit the sweeper, which was stopped for a traffic light at the intersection of White Horse Pike (Route 30) and Damson Avenue just after midnight. One of two passengers on board was hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries.

Driver Yolanda Jamison, 38, of Franklinville was trapped and removed from the bus by firefighters. She was hospitalized and charged with careless driving.

An investigation into the incident closed down the eastbound lanes of the White Horse Pike off-and-on for 5 hours.
