Police said the male student, whose name was not released due to his age, posted a photo of what looked like a rifle with the caption, "Everyone come to school early tomorrow." Investigators later determined that the weapon depicted was an Airsoft plastic toy gun, and that the teenager was not planning to cause any harm.

He was processed at Wall police headquarters before being released to the custody of a parent. The Wall Township School District has taken disciplinary action.
