Despite the ongoing controversy surrounding many retailers' decision to open their doors or remain closed this Thanksgiving, many malls and shopping centers will begin welcoming holiday shoppers beginning in late afternoon.

Instead of waiting for Black Friday to begin, several New Jersey establishments have announced earlybird sales and specials.

Below is a list of the retailers, malls and outlets in the Garden State that will be open to early shoppers this Thanksgiving:
