Sens. Robert Menendez and Frank Lautenberg made the friendly bet with New York Sens. Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand at the start of the Devils Stanley Cup semifinal series with the New York Rangers. The bet called for the losers to buy the winners pizza from their favorite pizzeria.

The Devils took the series with an overtime win in Game 6 on May 25.

Menendez and Lautenberg are scheduled to taste the fruits of their victory on Monday afternoon, during a party at the Prudential Center arena in Newark. Dining with them will be several players from local youth hockey programs.
