Stephen Corcoran of Morris Plains faces one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, four counts of second-degree sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

The first-degree crime is punishable by a maximum prison sentence of 20 years.  The Morris County Prosecutor's Office says the abuse occurred while Corcoran was involved with Boy Scout Troop 173 between 1997 and 1999.

Bail was set at $150,000 with a 10 percent option. Corcoran's attorney didn't return a message left late Friday at his office.
