Adults live and work in air-conditioned buildings. So why do some folks seem determined that kids should 'suck it up' with no air conditioning, on particularly scorching hot days? Proud Jersey Girl Erin Vogt debunks the "character-building" argument.

I just had to take a minute and address the 'back in my day' argument I saw, scattered around on social media during NJ's recent heat wave. I'd rather teach my kids about being responsible and persevering through 'tough times' at home, where there's less fear of heat stroke and dehydration.
