Tuesday's elections across the Garden State saw less than inspiring turnouts, and sets the stage for a ho-hum fall political season.

In the GOP Senate primary, Jeff Bell beat out three other relative unknowns. He moves on to face Senator Cory Booker, who will be a heavy favorite in November.

There was some drama in the Congressional races.

In a nasty and very dirty 3rd District race, Republican Steve Lonegan became a six-time election loser, falling to Tom MacArthur.

In the 12th, Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson-Coleman held off fellow Assembly Democrat Linda Greenstein. Coleman is the favorite to become New Jersey's first Congresswoman in many decades.
