Police say the four targeted businesses in several counties and used lookouts, two-way radios, and other means to avoid detection by law enforcement.

The burglaries took place over several months at businesses in Monmouth, Ocean, Burlington, Mercer, Atlantic, and Sussex counties.

Police say one of those in custody is believed to be a man seen on video surveillance wearing a mask, hat, hooded sweatshirt, jeans and a coat, and cutting wires in an attempt to disarm alarm systems.

He is believed to have stolen money, computers, electronics and alcohol, and allegedly enlisted the other three to act as lookouts and drivers.
