NJ Officer Hurt When School Bus Hits Cruiser
A central New Jersey police officer escaped serious injury when a school bus carrying 20 students skidded and struck his parked police cruiser head-on.
West Windsor Patrolman Frank Bal was stopped on Cranbury Road early Tuesday, with his emergency lights flashing, to warn drivers of icy conditions. The bus then approached around 7:15 a.m. and slid into the cruiser.
Bal was taken to a hospital with a neck injury, but was released later Tuesday. No one aboard the bus was injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
