New Jersey Natural Gas on Friday announced it is lowering its basic gas supply service rate and issuing a bill credit in March.

A typical customer will save more than $43 annually from the rate cut, which reflects lower wholesale natural gas prices and a warmer than normal winter.

The utility also will provide customers a bill credit for the fourth month in a row which will save the typical customer $33 for the month.

New Jersey Natural Gas provides service to nearly 500,000 customers in Ocean, Monmouth and Morris Counties.
