NJ Muslims File Federal Suit To Stop NYPD Spying
New Jersey Muslims have filed a federal lawsuit to try to put an end to years of spying by the New York
Police Department.
It is the first lawsuit to directly challenge the NYPD for targeting Muslims for widespread surveillance in the years after the 9/11 attacks.

An Associated Press investigation revealed that the NYPD conducted surveillance of entire Muslim neighborhoods -- including some in New Jersey -- chronicling daily life including where people
eat, pray and get their hair cut.
They infiltrated dozens of mosques and Muslim student groups and investigated hundreds more.
