A Bergen County man was arrested Wednesday after authorities learned he was using the internet to view child pornography and allegedly engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl.

Jeremy M Harr, 18, of Norwood has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child for sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child for possession of child pornography, as well as criminal sexual contact.

According to the Bergen County prosecutor's Office, Harr was arrested after authorities simultaneously executed search warrants of his residences in Fort Lee and Norwood. During the course of the investigation, police say they found that Harr was going online and acquiring pictured of child pornography including "images of pre-pubescent children engaged in sexual acts."

The Prosecutor's Office also said investigators learned that Harr had "engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with a 13-year-old female acquaintance." The girl's name and nature of their relationship has not been released.

Harr is currently being held at Bergen County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail with 10 percent option, pending his first appearance, which is scheduled for June 29 at 8:30 a.m. in Bergen County Municipal Court in Hackensack. As conditions of his bail, the Prosecutor's Office said, Harr is prohibited from having any contact with the victim. Authorities say he is also not permitted to have internet access.
