Authorities say a 44-year-old Garfield man was arrested after police learned he had taken unauthorized videos of another person getting undressed.

Richard Erszkowicz was arrested Monday and charged with invasion of privacy, according to Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.

Authorities say on June 2, an individual - whose name, age and sex have not been released - reported to police that Erszkowicz "was in possession of recordings depicting the victim in various stages of undress and without their knowledge and/or consent."

The prosecutor says the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit found the videos on the suspect's "computer media device."

Erszkowicz was arrested and issued summonses on two fourth degree counts of invasion of privacy, police said. He was released pending an appearance in Bergen County Municipal Court in Hackensack on June 20.

Authorities did not respond to questions seeking additional information on the circumstances of the allegations.
