NJ Man Sentenced on Child Sex Charges

A 58-year-old New Jersey man has been sentenced in federal court in Atlanta to serve 12 years in prison for attempting to entice a minor to have sex.

Tobin Nilsen, an attorney from Buena, N.J. was sentenced on Tuesday. Prosecutors say he met a woman online and convinced her to let him have sexual access to her 7-year-old daughter, unaware that the woman was an undercover FBI agent.

They say Nilsen told the agent to prepare the girl for the encounter by exposing her daughter to images of child pornography.

Prosecutors say Nilsen booked a flight to Atlanta to meet with the girl but was arrested in New Jersey when he sought to meet with another minor female.

He was extradited to Georgia and pleaded guilty in September.
