NJ man admits stabbing girlfriend to death

A southern New Jersey man accused of fatally stabbing his girlfriend last year has pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office says 57-year-old Rocco Carsillo entered the plea agreement on Thursday. It calls for a 24-year prison term when he's sentenced Dec. 18.

Authorities said 50-year-old Margaret Ann DePietro was found dead in her apartment in March 2014. Carsillo, of West Deptford Township, was arrested days later and charged in her death.

Gloucester County prosecutors have said the pair had been in a relationship since 2003 and had a history of domestic violence.
