LUMBERTON — A 25-year-old township man has been accused of sexting with young girls and offering to pay them $1,000 for sex.

Jonathan C. Tyler was charged Wednesday with two counts of endangering the welfare of children and a count of attempting to endanger the welfare of a child.

Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi said Tyler engaged in the explicit conversations in June and August, asking the girls to send him nude pictures.

Investigators obtained a warrant to confiscate his phone and found images of nude pre-pubescent girls on the phone, officials claim.

Investigators were working on a tip submitted by the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children.

His bail was set at $50,000 with no 10 percent option.

It was not clear Thursday evening whether Tyler had an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
