Federal prosecutors say a northern New Jersey man had more than 46,000 images of child pornography on his home computer and other electronic devices, including hundreds that involved infants or toddlers.

Thirty-nine-year-old Khalil Survey of Lake Hiawatha was arraigned Wednesday on charges of possessing and distributing child porn. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted on both counts.

Prosecutors say the child porn images and numerous videos were found when authorities searched Survey's home last summer. They say that besides the images of young children, there also were many images involving sadomasochistic abuse.

Survey's attorney, Joseph Rotella of Newark, said his client pleaded not guilty to both counts and planned to take the case to trial, but he declined further comment.
