Springfield, Massachusetts police say a resident of Governor Street called police about a suspicious SUV sitting in the middle of the road on Aug. 3, Springfield Police Deputy Chief Mark Anthony said.

When police arrived they found Latorre with two double-edged swords hidden inside canes, four knives, six cigarette lighters and a canister of pepper spray and arrested him on several charges carrying a dangerous weapons and on several outstanding warrants in Massachusetts, Anthony said.

MassLive.com reports the resident told police she'd been hiding from Latorre for 20 years because he was "physically and emotionally abusive." He'd threatened her and her children, and "vowed to find her some day," the woman reportedly said.

Latorre reportedly told police he decided to look her up, and said his children knew her grandchildren.

Anthony declined to confirm those details to New Jersey 101.5, citing privacy concerns as the matter is considered a domestic violence incident.

Latorre was arraigned on Aug.  21 according to recently released records and is being  held on $2,500 bail at the Hamden County, Mass. jail.
