EWING — Police are asking the public for help in identifying and bringing to justice a robbery suspect who bloodied a gas station attendant last week.

The 47-year-old employee of the Hess station on Princeton Avenue was assaulted before 4:04 p.m. Aug. 21. Police found him with several bloody wounds on his face. He was taken by ambulance to Capital Health Regional Medical Center.

Police say security footage shows the suspect, who took the victim's wallet, waiting for the employee to come into the store and then punching the employee in the head until he falls.

The robber also took cash from the register, police said.

The suspect was wearing a white T-shirt and dark jeans and sported a beard and dreads.
