There's no shortage of activities for families this spring in New Jersey. From Easter Egg hunts to parades, breakfasts, train rides and even Easter Bunny fly-ins, there is something to do in just about every corner of the Garden State.

Here's a list of some of the events taking place in the coming weeks.


Easter egg hunt and bonnet Contest 

When: April 15
Where: Heaven Hill Farm, Vernon
Time: Starts at noon

Make your own bonnet to wear in their annual Easter Parade! Meet the Bunny, take a hay ride, play with a bunch of adorable farm animals.


When: April 15, 1:30 p.m.

This is so cool, I wanna be there this year! An annual event, you'll see the the Easter Bunny arriving via plane for meet-and-greets with the kids!!There’s also face painting, hot air balloon launches and a bounce house.


When: Throughout the months of March and April (call for reservations)
Where: Acres Away LLC, 926 County Road 579, Flemington
Cost: $20 each children/adult for short ride or $55 for adult trail ride

Take the kids on a horseback ride to look for Easter eggs that have been hidden in the woods!! (and never fear..there are small horses for the littler ones!)


Where: Whippany Railway Museum, Whippany
Date: April 8, 9 and 15
Time: 1-4 pm at the top of every hour
Cost: $14/adult, $9/child, free/under 1 year old. Registration required.

Trains are always kid pleasers!! And of course, it goes without saying, so is the Easter bunny.. and he'll be there!Take this 45-minute round-trip ride along the Morristown and Erie Railway’s historic Whippanong Trail.


When: April 8, 9 and 15
Where: 99 Elizabeth St., Phillipsburg
Time: 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 and 3:30 p.m.
Cost: $11/ children, $18/person.

Another Easter Bunny train — with a stop for a fun egg hunt--along the Delaware River to Carpentersville. Don't worry..you'll see Bunny before heading back to Phillipsburg.


Where: Allaire Village
Date: April 15
Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cost: $6/person (register to save a spot)

Hunt for over 10,000 eggs among the beautiful grounds of Historic Allaire Village. Also, story time with Clifford the Big Red Dog and make your own Easter bonnet for the parade.


When: April 1, 2 and 16
Where: Imagine That, 4 Vreeland Road, Florham Park
Time: 10 a.m. each day
Cost: $16.99 for child, $14.99 for adult

Bagel breakfast an Easter parade, an egg hunt and bunny photos. What more could you ask for? Plus, each kid gets his or her own Easter basket!


When: April 15
Where: Liberty Hall Museum, Union
Time: 10to 11:30 a.m.; Noon to 1:30 p.m.
Cost: $10 for one adult and one child (additional adults $5) Registration required.

Hunt for eggs on the gorgeous grounds  of the museum! (Some filled with holiday treats) And the Easter Bunny'll be there, too!


When: April 2, 8, 9, 14 and 15 at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 pm
Where: 80 Stangl Road, Flemington, NJ 08822

The Easter Bunny Express takes a 25 minute ride between you on a roundtrip ride between Flemington and Ringoes stations where you'll get to meet Peter cottontail! Then,a  stop at their gift car and museum car.


When: April 15 and 16
Where: Terhune Orchards, Princeton
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This is  an awesome annual treasure hunt, where kids follow clues to find a big surprise!! (Spoiler: It's got long ears and a cottontail!!)They'll also make a bunny craft, go on a wagon ride and get to meet farm animals.


When: April 16
Where: Morey's Pier, Wildwood
Time: Noon to 5 p.m.
Cost: Free

Summer's not the only time that the Wildwood beach is fun! Here,The kids will get to do an egg hunt, with chances to win cool prizes including stuffed animals and tickets to the water park and amusement park.
