NJ dad-to-be found dead in trash can, last message was ‘help me’
The body of a South Jersey man who was expecting a baby with his girlfriend and had bee missing since the end of July was found in a Florida trash can.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said the body of Tyler Etue, 25, of Medford Lakes was found in a trash can on Wednesday as authorities handed out missing person flyers. An autopsy has determined the manner of death as homicide.
Etue was dropped off by friends on July 31 at the Lake Worth Square shopping mall and posted "Help me, help me" on his Facebook page, and was not heard from again according to WPBF TV. Police say he was last seen near the alley where his body was discovered.
Etue's girlfriend identified, by WPBF TV as Anna Anderson, had brought Etue to a Florida detox center after he relapsed in his fight with drug addiction. Anderson received a text at the end of July that he was released and wanted them to go back to New Jersey to "straighten out some relationships" and then return to Florida to begin a new life together.
