The snow-free winter for most of New Jersey could come to an end over the next few days.

Flurries or light snow were expected in many areas of the state between Thursday night and early Friday.

Some accumulations are predicted with a second bout of snowfall from Friday night through Saturday.

Most areas were expected to get no more than an inch or two. But the National Weather Service says Sussex County in northwest New Jersey could get up to 6 inches in all.

A mix of rain and snow is expected in many areas on Sunday.
