TOMS RIVER — A man and woman arrested in an Ocean County park tried to hide drugs in their child's diaper, according to police.

Police spokesman Ralph Stocco said an officer smelled burning marijuana as he approached Erica Richter, 32, of Barnegat, who was throwing up in the parking lot of Skyview Park off Bay Avenue around 12:15 p.m. Thursday. Richter was with Richard Olivadotti, 39, of Toms River, and their 2-year-old child who was standing in the front seat.

Marijuana, suboxone, oxycodone, cyclobenzaprine and pipes were also found in the car and both adults were arrested.

While watching the child, Stocco said an officer at headquarters found an additional bag of marijuana in its diaper.

Richter and Olivadotti were charged with child endangerment, possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. They're each being held pending $50,000 bail.
