The National Weather Service says a mix of rain and snow will likely fall in most areas of the state on Wednesday night.

Forecasters say 1 to 3 inches of slushy accumulation is possible before the precipitation ends early Thursday. But most of the accumulations will occur on grassy areas, because temperatures are expected to remain just above freezing.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Ocean and Burlington counties from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 3 a.m. Thursday.
