NJ-based Halloween store to hire tens of thousands in August

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — It may still be the dog days of summer but one national chain is already preparing to turn the calendar forward to Halloween and bring a few thousand new employees with them.

Spirit Halloween announced it will be hiring 30,000 people for stores across the country and in Canada. The New Jersey company announced that 200 out of its 1,300 will be opening their doors by the end of this week.

Among the hot items the company expects to see flying off the shelves this year are Stranger Things and Rick and Morty costumes, as well as Wonder Woman for adults. For kids, the hot costumes this year are expected to be the popular cartoons PJ Masks and Paw Patrol.
