Democratic Assemblyman Charles Mainor of Jersey City apologized a year ago for a Facebook post in which the Philadelphia Eagles were referred to as "gaybirds."

Now, The Jersey Journal reports (http://bit.ly/YDV2oV) Mainor had "liked" a Facebook page featuring videos of people being assaulted, and a second one featuring photos of clothed women with big backsides.

Mainor is a policeman who chairs the Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee. He has since "unliked" the two pages.

He tells the Journal his daughter had showed him the assault page and he "liked" it to remember to return to it.

As for the other page, the unmarried legislator tells the newspaper: "Listen, I love women, but it shouldn't be on there."
