And probably some snow? The coldest air of the season will arrive in NJ from Saturday night through Sunday, setting up a wintry start to the Thanksgiving week.

The good news? Southwest NJ exceeded 70 degrees Saturday!

The not so good news? Zoom out the temperature map just a little, and you can see the sharp contrast of colder air approaching from the west. That's a strong cold front, that will sweep through New Jersey Saturday night into Sunday. Ready or not, here it comes!

Here's a rundown of what to expect...

--WIND: You'll know when the front is here, as a west-northwest wind will "whoosh" in, starting sometime between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Gusts over 40 mph will be possible through tonight. Most of NJ falls under a Wind Advisory from 7 p.m. Saturday through Midnight Sunday night.

--COLD: Sunday morning's low temperatures will probably end up right around freezing, but we won't warm up much by Sunday afternoon. High temperatures will be limited to the lower to mid 40s. That's it! About 10 degrees below normal for mid-November, and likely to be our coldest day since early April.

--RAIN: A line of showers and light rain will sweep from west to east Saturday evening into Saturday night. Nothing too heavy - precip totals will probably average around a quarter-inch.

--SNOW: Yup, 'tis the season. As temperatures drop sharply from Saturday night through Sunday morning, rain will likely change to a wintry mix or all snow for a time for at least the northern half of NJ. If conditions are just right, a coating of snow on the ground will be possible within the "snow zone". I could see up to a half-inch in the highest elevations of NW NJ.

--MORE: Residual light snow and rain showers will remain possible through the day Sunday. It's just going to be a cold, windy, wintry day! And Monday isn't going to be any better!

Stay warm, stay safe, and stay tuned.
