Newark AirTrain Service to be Suspended
Repair work will suspend AirTrain Newark service for approximately 75 days beginning May 1.
The station that links Newark Liberty International Airport with New Jersey Transit (NJT) tracks will be closed throughout the suspension.
Dozens of spots on the system’s multi-mile running surface are showing signs of erosion, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
A Port Authority press release noted substitute shuttle bus service will be provided from Newark Penn Station. The airport has had its own stop along certain NJT tracks.
