The Quinnipiac University Poll surveyed 1,165 New Yorkers about the aftermath of the superstorm that swamped lower Manhattan and devastated coastlines in New Jersey and New York.

Most voters said that Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Michael Bloomberg did an "excellent" job, but they ranked lower on the list. Bloomberg's handling of the storm lifted his overall approval rating to his highest grades in more than two years, according to the poll.

New Yorkers were also pleased with the performance by first responders, but not the utilities: 58 percent said the response was "not so good" or "poor."

The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.9 percent.
