According to reports from TSN, the New York Rangers have acquired sniper Rick Nash from the Columbus Blue Jackets in a blockbuster trade.

After months of speculation, the Columbus Blue Jackets have agree to trade winger Rick Nash to the New York Rangers in exchange for centers Artem Anisimov, Brandon Dubinsky, defenseman Tim Erixon and a 1st round pick.

The trade ends months of speculation surrounding Nash. Nash was rumored to be dealt at the trading deadline and then again earlier this summer during the NHL's draft weekend.

Nash played in 82 games last season for the Blue Jackets and  scored 30 goals and 29 assists.

The explosive winger was selected first overall by Columbus at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Nash has spent his entire career with the Blue Jackets.
