Just how much do New Jersey Facebook users promote themselves on Facebook? It turns out that NJ Facebook users brag about themselves quite a bit it seems.

Out of all the states, New Jersey ranked 9th in social media showoffs, according to the study on Heylets.com. Three out of five New Jerseyans are considered braggers on their social media page.

New Jersey scored around sixty-percent and ranked higher in social media bragging than New York, who checked in at fifty-eight percent.

Here's how NJ ranked against the top 10 self-promoting states:

3. Nevada 72%

4. Maryland 70%

5. New Hampshire 69%

6. Illinois 67%

7. Virginia 66%

8. Oklahoma 64%

9. New Jersey 60%

10.  New York 58%

Here are the most humble social media states:

1. Utah 22%

2. Oregon 26%

3. South Carolina 33%

4. Kansas 34%
