The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says it's seeking to replace a security firm recently involved in a flap over a Newark Liberty Airport's employee's alleged fake ID.

Port Authority officials met Tuesday with officials from FJC Security to discuss the recent incident.

Last week one of the company's security supervisors at the airport was charged with ID theft for allegedly using the birth certificate and Social Security number of a man who died in 1992.

Port Authority executive director Patrick Foye says he will issue a request for proposals for companies seeking to provide security at the airport and other facilities.

A spokesman for FJC says the company plans to take steps to ensure it maintain its relationship with the Port Authority.
