Exactly two weeks ago yesterday Jackson New Jersey's own Anthony Stolarz made history by being the first New Jersey born goalie to win an NHL game. Well last night he recorded his second victory (2-0) as the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Detroit Red Wings at Detroit's legendary Joe Louis Arena with a 1-0 shutout.

Judi and I met his mom this past summer in Jackson during one of our lunch broadcasts at the White Butterfly Café. We talked hockey and the prospect of her son seeing some NHL action this season. So far so good. By all accounts he's a great guy and comes from a good New Jersey family.

Congratulations to our own 'Stoli the Goalie' from Jackson, New Jersey!
