Ah, the life hack. Can a good life hack be appreciated any more than here in New Jersey? I mean we have the NJ Inventors Hall Of Fame with folks like Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein for God's sake! Look at the long parade of James Bond style gadgets New Jerseyans have come up with just to cheat a toll. The guys who came up with bubble wrap did it in a garage in Hawthorne. And what Jersey guy older than 40 never had his old car's window crank fall off and replaced it with a pair of vice grips?

How about solving the problem of the white meat always drying out since it cooks faster than the dark meat by icing down the breast before roasting? Genius! Tired of scrubbing lots of potatoes when you have so much else to cook and so little time? Throw them in the dishwasher with no soap and put it on a quick rinse cycle. Brilliant! Mashed potatoes not fluffy enough? You can use baking soda and the heat of the potatoes to cause a CO2 chemical reaction that results in more fluffiness. Inspired!
