Near-normal high temperatures, abundant sunshine, and quiet weather are in this pleasant weekend forecast across the Garden State.

Here are your weather headlines for Friday, December 4, 2015...

Near-Perfect

If you ever dreams of experiencing typical, near-perfect early December weather... your dreams are about to come true.

A strong dome of high pressure is building into New Jersey today. The sinking air will keep skies sunny, winds light, and temperatures consistently "normal". After Thursday's blustery day, with regular wind gusts over 30 mph, the more comfortable weather will be welcome.

Highs on Friday will reach about 50 degrees. While there have been a few clouds hanging around early this morning, sunshine should still dominate. Expect a light west-northwest breeze at 10 to 15 mph.

Friday night will be seasonable cool, with clear skies and lows in the lower to mid 30s.

Saturday looks like a carbon copy of Friday, with plenty of sunshine and pleasant high temperatures near 50 degrees.

Subtle Changes

By Sunday, a wind shift to the southwest will lead to some subtle changes in our weather. Skies will go from mostly sunny Sunday morning to partly sunny by Sunday afternoon. Meanwhile, temperatures will warm a bit into the mid 50s.

More noticeable changes will occur on Monday, as that high pressure departs and our next potential storm system slides up the Atlantic coast. Clouds will increase, and we might see an isolated shower - that rain chance is slight at this point, but I just don't want to rule it out.

Messy Tuesday

Tuesday looks messy, as that aforementioned coastal storm system passes by New Jersey. This morning's Euro and GFS models now agree on a storm track that stays well off the coast. Even so, Tuesday looks like a cloudy, dreary, cooler day with a potentially gusty wind. At the moment, I'm limiting rain chances to the Jersey Shore... but any jog in that storm track to the west will spread that rain through more of the Garden State. If you have weather-sensitive outdoor plans on Tuesday, it's a very good idea to keep a close eye on this forecast as it continues to evolve over the weekend.
