New Jersey spent crazy dough on ridiculous pizza place lawsuit (OPINION)

And we wonder where our tax money goes.

It takes a lot to get Jim Gearhart flustered. For decades, he's talked about the many, many ways New Jersey wastes its residents' money. But even he was dumbstruck reading about the reported hundreds of thousands of dollars New Jersey spent to (unsuccessfully) sue a pizzeria over a logo that looked a little bit too much like the Parkway's.

Well, people are always confusing pizzerias in other states with major New Jersey highways, right? They're trying to get to Belmar and taking the fast route through the dining room?
